Michael Blair is studying Government, planning to pursue a modified major in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) and a minor in Public Policy. Michael is especially interested in the drivers of political polarization and ways to increase civic engagement among young people. A New Hampshire native, Michael worked to promote youth voices in the first-in-the-nation primary and spearheaded the Candidates in the Classroom series inviting presidential hopefuls to speak at his high school and answer questions asked by students. Before coming to Dartmouth, Michael also volunteered as a youth advisor within his state government and served as a National Student Ambassador for the Choose Love Movement, in both roles advocating for healthy behaviors and mental health education to create kinder and safer communities. He aspires to a career in public service, where he can continue to advocate for important causes and make positive change in his community. In addition to his role as an Ambassador for the DPU, Michael is a member of the Dartmouth Club Ice Hockey Team.
