Nico D’Orazio ’28 is from Rockville, MD, and plans on double majoring in Government and Hispanic Studies, with a minor in Education. Throughout high school, Nico lobbied his local, state, and federal governments for a variety of bills aimed at increasing equity in education, promoting safety in schools, funding mental health resources, and more. In particular, Nico spent a year writing policy, conducting focus groups, evaluating & allocating grants, and more for the Montgomery County Public Schools district. Aside from The Dartmouth Political Union, Nico is an Ambassador for Dartmouth Civics, a DCSI TEACH mentor, a member of the Ledyard Canoe Club, and a Great Issues Scholar. In the future, Nico hopes to impact education on a national level and aims to either attend law school or pursue a doctorate in Education.
